this is how to write USB sticks when they are write protected. This works with WindowsXP.
*start -> run -> type "regedit"
*goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control
*select "StorageDevicePolicies" in the tree.
*double click on ‘WriteProtect’ in the right side pane.
*change its value to '0'. ('1' means enable write protection).

Its really very "Useful". But some system doesn't have Storage Device Policies ...In the next issue if u come up with wat to do for that it'll be of more use.

thx a lot dude.. was very helpful 4 me as I was able disable the write protection in one of my friend's system.. My system din hv the storage device policies though.. Guess, there was no hardware for USB??
